Thermal Cover Support Confirmed

AmSafe Bridport has confirmed an extended, ongoing contract with Kuehne + Nagel to deliver precise logistical support for the DuPont™ Tyvek^® Air Cargo Thermal Cover, which AmSafe Bridport distributes to its increasing number of European pharmaceutical customers.

Under the terms of the contract, Kuehne + Nagel will be engaged in conducting inbound activities, customs clearances, warehousing, handling, inbound and outbound transportation, customs documentation, freight management and forwarding activities.

Initially signed at the beginning of 2013 and now extended from January 2014, on a permanent, rolling basis, the contract enables AmSafe Bridport to service its major mainland Europe pharmaceutical customers with shorter lead times and reduced shipping costs.

AmSafe Bridport partnered with DuPont™ to offer the DuPont™ Tyvek^® Air Cargo Cover. Tyvek^® is an exceptional, non-woven material that is the global leader in selective barrier technology, bringing new dimensions of temperature-controlled protection, security and safety.

The reflective material provides the highest level of thermal protection from solar radiation, reducing the damaging effects of heat and keeping shipments naturally cooler.

The DuPont™ Tyvek^® Air Cargo Cover is specifically designed to protect all types of temperature-sensitive products, reduce freight volumes and aid quick handling: these are vital requirements for the pharmaceutical supply chain and a major benefit for AmSafe Bridport’s ever-growing mainland Europe pharmaceutical customer base.

The product is available in several sizes with an emphasis on the shipment of pharmaceutical products and follows extensive trials undertaken between AmSafe Bridport with partner airlines and pharmaceutical companies.
