AmSafe Bridport presents book to the Queen at Buckingham Palace reception

Following the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation to AmSafe Bridport Ltd earlier this year, on 13 November Her Majesty the Queen hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for Queen’s Award winners. This was attended by AmSafe Bridport’s Mike Taylor and Steve Lawton.

At the reception, Mike Taylor and Steve Lawton gave the Queen a book charting the illustrious history of Bridport’s net and rope making industry, which included a calligraphic frontispiece, dedicated to the Queen.

After the event, Mike Taylor, Product Line Manager – Tarian® commented:

“Steve and I were privileged to represent AmSafe Bridport at the Queens Award winners’ reception. We were delighted to give the Queen this beautiful and fascinating book. It’s wonderful to think that our long heritage in textile technology has enabled us to invent our Tarian® Rocket Propelled Grenade armour net, Tarian® that provides better protection for our troops than anything else available.”
